Combi-short « Super-Melinda » de RDC!

Ma première réalisation d’un patron République du Chiffon! Je voulais absolument me faire une combi-short, au départ j’étais partie sur le patron « Kimono Sleeve Playsuit » de SALME mais je le trouvais assez simple et surtout pas assez « fitté » sur les réalisations des autres couturières. Et puis je suis tombée sur « Melinda »…

My first garment made of a Republique du Chiffon Pattern! I just wanted so badly to make myself a playsuit and at first I had chosen the SALME « Kimono Sleeve Playsuit » but I thought it was very simple and not fitted enough on what I saw from the other creations made on the net. And then I found « Melinda »… 

Ce que j’adore dans ce patron c’est le look vintage Pin’up et les possibilités infinies de déclinaison: On peut réaliser le combishort ou la robe et jouer avec les motifs sur les différents empiècements (épaules & ceinture). Pour la taille comme d’hab je suis entre deux… Cette fois j’ai choisi la plus petite et je loge pile poil dedans! Les explications sont très claires pour une couturière un peu expérimentée, à part les finitions de la doublure de la ceinture ou je n’ai pas tout compris mais bon ça n’a pas affecté le rendu 😉

    

What I love about this pattern is its Pin’up vintage look & the infinite possibilities to make it differently: You can either make the playsuit or the dress and play with the fabrics on the different pieces such as the front shoulders or the belt. Regarding the size, again I was in between two sizes and this time I chose the smallest one and I just fit in! The explanations are very clear for an advanced seemstress, except maybe the finish of the lining belt which I did not quite get but nevermind it did not affect the final garment 😉

Pour le tissu j’ai choisi mon coupon « Superman » acheté sur le salon « Pour l’amour du fil » à Nantes chez H&E Tissus! J’adore le motif avec les « S » rouges qui ressortent sur le reste en noir & blanc! Au lieu de faire des boutonnières sur les épaules j’ai mis les pressions Kam étoiles de mes filles 😉 Bref j’adore ma « supercombi » et je vais finir ce post avec une petite photo hommage à Clark Kent! A bientôt!

Regarding the fabric I chose to use my « Superman » coupon bought on the « Pour l’amour du fil » exhibition in Nantes on the H&E Tissus booth! I love the details of this fabric with the red « S » which contrasts with the rest in black & white! Instead of buttonholes I put my daughters’ star shaped Kam press studs 😉 Anyway, I love my « superplaysuit » and I’ll end this post with an hommage picture to Clark Kent… See you soon!
